Thank you so much, to all readers for following my blog! When I changed last August from my little [bad SEO'ed] iWeb account, to the blogger platform, I was not sure. It still doesn't feel as natural to do some posts as the Apple program - but hell did the views skyrocketed! I can remember that my all time views after 4 years of www.opinionated-alchemist.com via iWeb was around 6,000 views. Now not even one year later on blogger, we are talking of 60,000 views - which are even growing day to day quite stable. Well yes - I am easier to find. By the way - the most read post was my post, which compares ginger ale with ginger ale . Thank you very much google - a lot of people are looking apparently for an answer here. Second most successful post was my post about the El Diablo. I never thought, that this drink can be so successful - yes, I like the drink, but who knew, that so many people join my taste? And then on a surprisingly "low" number...

There is a lot of marketing and anti-marketing out there, about products. Sometimes you just have to use your common sense [as well as your technical expertise] to confirm or bust these "myths". One outstanding personality in mixology is Darcy O'Neil who happens to be working in a lab. Not only, that he has the gear, to do one or the other great experiment - but he also has the knowledge. Today, I just found a super interesting article, I haven't read yet on his blog - and it is surprisingly opinionated... I had actually the idea, to revive old blogposts, to make them available to a wider audience. Even though, my original web address www.opinionated-alchemist.com is not  working for the moment, I have many many more page visits than before.  This is the advantage, to "work" in the google environment, instead of being lonely wolf on the Apple platform. Don't get me wrong - I still like rather iWeb and don't like to do the whole shebang online. But yeah - I get more readers now, which are finding the way through the magic of google - so why not upsetting [just joking] with some older articles, which were often very interesting. Lets do some recycling - stay tuned for more...

Time have changed. Apple decided to double-cross me - and other users. They pulled the plug from their webhosting. They forced us, to go over to other services, to host our webpages - I am not happy about it [and I guess, others neither]! After long back and forth, I decided to use blogger - because it is free to have your customized domain. Hopefully soon this page will be again available via www.opinionated-alchemist.com - in the meanwhile "dial" opinionated-alchemist.blogspot.com . The whole design has unfortunately changed. And all the previous posts are lost [not really, but it would take me months, to re-post them - so I have decided not to. I hope, that you value the content higher than the design. And I hope, that I can go on with the more or less regular posting as before [even if I don't really like the blogger interface]. And who knows - maybe it is even positive, to go over to a 100% web compliant and 100% searchable layout... however it was nice, a...
