Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, this blog just achieved another milestone: 200,000 hits! Thank you all for looking me up and reading my blog. Well - it is not on the level of, let's say Jeffrey Morgenthaler [I am sure, that he has 10s of millions of hits], but it is not too shabby nonetheless. Thanks so much for making it possible!

Yeah - the opinionated-alchemist.blogspot.com reached the magical 100,000 hits! Thanks so much for everyone, who took time, to read my sometimes helpful and knowledgeable, but also often angry and unforgiving posts. In the last 16 month, I have "published" 189 posts [which makes in average 529 hits on each post]. Most popular post was surprisingly my post about ginger ale vs ginger beer . Loved to make also a post about home-crafted tonic water - however it seems still to be nearly impossible to get cinchona bark in the UAE. Stay tuned. I am quite happy, to see one post about my favorite classic drinks on No.2: the perfect whiskey sour . On No.3 there is another surprised, which is still one the drinks I enjoy most - the El Diablo . Mentionable is also my post about agar-agar clarification [unfortunately my widget will disappear soon, as the embed'able spreadsheet tool is closing "its doors"]. Just a short thank you note! I know, that some blogs are much higher frequented as this one here.... but I am still stunned. 90,000 hits - wow - this is like every citizen of a bigger town is reading your stuff. Within this year [yes - the opinionated-alchemist is much longer around than 1 year - however one year ago I changed the hosting to blogger - and due to the fact that it is from google, it is much easier to find from search engines etc], we had some ups and downs. The page started with 2000 hits per month - so went really up to consistently 6500 plus hits per month. Again - this is not much, if you name is Jeffrey Morgenthaler - but for me it is satisfying and great. I am not greedy. The lowest hits [after the beginning] was Winter 2012 - when I could hardly write up some posts - but then it followed a all time high in May in June - this year 2013 - which we reached more than 9000 people. For the moment it is again stabilizing at around 7000 hits - please spread the word, ...
